How can the current crisis spur us on, across all areas, to think anew and bring into the world the systems that all of us – women and men alike – long for so deeply?
For some, nothing remains as it was. Small businesses founded by women often go under, artists and cultural workers are without a stage or have to get used to livestreams, restaurants and cafés stand empty, schools, universities, offices and companies operate under completely different conditions, and – like many other areas of our lives – cannot simply be shifted online using existing formats.
Under the current circumstances, women are hit harder than men.
But perhaps it's precisely we women who have the ideas we need right now, who see the connections and the human factor in everything so much faster?
We won't get out of this without a bigger systemic shift! It takes creativity, courage and a return to our true goals – a new stage in human development is called for.
Most people in positions of action and decision-making are merely adapting their existing processes to fit the circumstances; hardly anyone is truly "reinventing." What does the new blueprint really look like? What do we know that's needed, and what kind of environment might we already be creating in our own immediate surroundings? What have we learned from physical distance, and from the often new kind of social closeness?
Let's think utopically, and play with our imagination!
What does the ideal world look like, and how do we live in it?
What framework conditions are needed so that we can focus on what's essential – on what we're good at, and on what really matters?
We want to use this special time of year to celebrate ourselves, and to create trust in our fine space, in order to truly think something new.
Given the current situation, we're holding our Feminist Salon evening in digital space. Even here, we preserve the special culture of encounter and communication through empathetic hosting.
Savvy women from different walks of life want to learn from one another, exchange ideas and support each other, so they can take new insights and ideas home for their individual life situations. The mindfully hosted space, dialogue, listening and collective intelligence make it possible to explore concerns and discover something new.
From young to old – to keep achieving age diversity in the Feminist Salon, we'd like to invite every woman to bring a young woman with her and, if possible, cover her participation fee.
Contribution: standard price for the salon evening is €15, special price for school and university students €5.
After an input from the hosts on the topic, we go into dialogue together, and let ourselves be inspired by it for our lives in the here and now.
Relaxed arrival with welcome drink and tech check from 6:45 pm
Start at 7:00 pm, our dialogue runs until around 9:30 pm and includes a short break
