In the “Handbook of International Negotiation”, published by Springer in 2015, we have elaborated the importance of artful conduct of meaningful conversations also in the diplomatic environment, both as conflict prevention and for the settlement of conflicts. In the chapter “Underpinning Conflict Prevention by International Cooperation” Ursula Hillbrand has also developed a new illustrative model that links the combine ‘The Four fold practice’ of ‘Art of Hosting conversations that matter’ with the theory of the ecological, social and intellectual divide in our global community by Otto Scharmer’s.
