How can we, as women, live and work self-determined in who we are?
The Feminist Salon returns to its founding location, the Bregenzer Salon!
We're starting our 2019 salon meetings with a series called "Women Who Stand Out": a short presentation about a very particular woman, followed by a dialogue with real depth. This time, we turn to Maria Theresia Wilhelm from Vorarlberg. On 20 July 1960, she went to Buchs to buy a pair of shoes. Since that day, she has been missing without a trace. Maria Theresia Wilhelm had married a Swiss gamekeeper, and led a free, self-determined life with him. For decades, Ms. Wilhelm, her husband Ulrich Gantenbein, and their children were persecuted and harassed by the authorities and by psychiatrists, because they didn't fit into the confused normality of a village at the foot of the Alps.
Once again, savvy women from different walks of life want to learn from one another, exchange ideas and support each other, so they can take new insights and ideas home for their individual life situations. The mindfully hosted space, dialogue, listening and collective intelligence make it possible to explore concerns and discover something new.

From young to old
To keep achieving age diversity in the Feminist Salon, we'd like to invite every woman to bring a young woman with her and, if possible, cover her participation fee (standard price €15, special price for school and university students €5).
Evening schedule
Welcome drink at 6:30 pm. After an input from the hosts on selected women's stories, we go into dialogue together, and let ourselves be inspired by it for our lives in the here and now.
Contribution
The contribution for the salon evening of €15 includes a small buffet and drinks. Special price for school and university students: €5.

The Bregenzer Salon is located in the heart of Bregenz and is easily accessible by bus and train. The stations "Bregenz Hafen" and "Bregenz Hauptbahnhof" are only a few minutes' walk away. Bus lines are also nearby. Good parking is available at the P5 Rathaus car park — simply follow the parking guidance system.
